An unknown former Game Informer staffer has posted what they consider a “genuine goodbye” on social media after the magazine surprisingly shuttered last week after 33 years. The new message implies that the farewell shared on August 2 wasn’t written by anyone at Game Informer.
On X, a “former Game Informer member” wrote that the magazine’s legacy deserved better than what was previously issued to the public. The new social media post ends with words from former editor-in-chief Matt Miller: “Be well. Play well.” Additionally, two images are attached that show off the “masthead from issue 368,” which was in production but won’t be finished.
